The Cadre, the newspaper that, has been connected with U.P.E.|. Since its inception as a uni- versity is changing its name. The change is due to the rep- utation for “Smut and trash” the paper had in the last few years. This caused problems for the paper since businesses would not advertise in it.

"The new name signifies a whole new paper” the editor, Larry Green, explains. “We

' hope to become not only a

newspaper but also a magazine. We plan to publiSh more than just news.”

When asked what the new name would be, Green became secret: ive. “The first issue will

Union Newspaper or the SUN.

The new name will not bE'Fé— vealed until next week.

He would only elaborate further on this by saying it was “a quotation”. ' .

The first Pig nl-Whistle of‘ the year will take place this Friday evening from 9-12 p.m. in the Barn. This Pig will be wet, with bars on the l st and 3 rd floor. The featured band, Teguila, has a great light show and.shouldn't be missed.“ |.D.*s must be pre- sented at the door and 39 students will be admitted without them.

Next week, the Pig n'Whist- les will return to Thursday nights, from 9-l2. The band, g for neit Thursday will be l§fl_Fraser.
