La nouvelle publiée par un journal de Montréal, allant à dire qu'un Jeune homme de 15 ans, avait trouvé la mort dans des circons- tances mystérieuses, avait déjà mise toute Ja population dans une grande excitation. Mes per: quisitions me permettent de dé- Clarer qu'il n’en est rien, comme d'ailleurs l’atteste le procés-ver- bal de l'enquête du ceroner.

Voici les faits :

Samedi, dans le cours de l'a Près-midi un petit garçon du nom d’Alphonse Saint-Pierre 6 tait envoyé en commission par sa mère. Quoiqu'il en seit, les jours se succédèrent et aucune révéla- tion ne se fit. Le crime commis allait être relégué dans les bas fonds de J'oubli, quand par un hasard providentiel une scene des plus tragiques vint révéler aux paisibles habitants de South Roxton que chez eux il y avait du crime dans l'air.
