HIS Excellency the Lieutenant Governor in Council was this day pleased to fix and determine the rate at which the amount of the Invoice of Dutiublc Goods, imported into this Island from the United States of America, shall, in estimating the duties payable thereon, be reduced into current money oftho Island, as follows :—
In all cases where such Invoices shall be made out in Dollars and Cents ofihe paper currency of the United States, the, amount of such InVoicc shall he reduced into current money of this Island, by allowing for each Dollar the sum of FOU I SlIILLINGS AND SIX-PENCE, and in the like proportion for any fraction of :1 Del- lar: of which all Collectors oi lmpost are to take notice and govern

[No.20] Gulf of St. Lawrence. FIXED LIGHT IN GASPE BAY.
HE Trinity House at Quebec has given Notice that during the season the navigation is open, a Light will be exhibited on the Peninsula in Gaspe Bay, 12 miles N. W. by N. from Cape Gas e. Tile light is a fixed whitelight, elevated ~10 feet above the level of the sea, with the following bearings from it 2—- Cape Haldimand, South. Gaspe Basin, W. .5 S. The light is intended to serve as» a guide to vessels passing between Sandy Beach and the main land Opposite.
