When the RCA? holds its sixth annual Air Force Day on Satur- day (June 14th). many stations across the country will be holding open house once again to allow the public to see men and women of the RCAF at work. equipment exhibits and in some cases air shows. With Canada's continued expansion of the armed forces. the RCA? has stepped up activity in every phase as depicted in the above photo- rnontnge. With the F-86!) On May 15. 1960, death claimed West Newton's oldest resident in the person of Mrs. Francis Corr, born at Kinkorn eighty-four years ago, the daughter of the law Thomas Duffy and Catherine Creighan.

Previous to her marriage the de- ceased spent some years as s tail- oress in the service of the late William Csllbeck. Bedeque, where her deep sense of Christian ideals won for her the admiration and esteem of s. wide circle ot friends.

After her marriage she moved to West Newton where she lived the remainder of her life and where her outstanding characteristics of heart and mind were exemplified in her spirit of industry. her un- failing charity, and her true de- votion to church and home.

The dccesse” was in failing health a long number of years During her lingering illness she was frequently refreshed and strengthened with the consoling sacraments of the Roman Catholic Church bestowed on her by her pastor Rev. Francis McQuaid. She bore her suffering with courage and resignation always obedient to the will of God. On the above mentioned date she calmly breath- ed back her spirit to the Giver of life fortified by the last rites of her church administered to her by Rev. Reginald Mo.Donaid. Death to her as a friend well expressed it was it mere passage from this vale of suffering to an eternal reward for a Catholic life spent in the ser- vice of God.

Mulli- gan, South Freetown and one brother. James. South Freetown.

Her runeral which was largely gc. tended was held on May 13 to st, Malachi's Church. Kinkora. Requiem High Mass was sung by Rev, Syl. vere Gallant who also performed the service at the grave. Her mor- tsl remains were tenderly laid to rest beside her husband who pre- deceased her tweive years ago. pnu bearers were Messrs. Clayton Mc. Cabe. Walter smith, John M. Mui- ligan. Wilfred smith, Aden Mulli. gan and John A. smith.
