Colonial Rifle €onapctition. DETAILED REGULATIONS.

‘HE Colonial Rifle Competition will take place on Monday

and Tuesday. the 19th and 2tth of August next.

Two Ranges at 300 and 500 yards. Five shots at each range. Standing position at the first. kneeling or standing at the List.

Ties shall fire one shot at the longest range until the best shot shall be returned.

Two Medals granted by the National Rifle Association will accompany the 2 highest prizes. One competitor will be allowed for every 10 men on the effective strength of each Company.

The firing shall be conducted in accordance with the Regula- tions of the School of Musketry at llythe.

No other Rifles to be used but the long or short Enfield.

Every competitor who tails to score ten at the 300 yards range will be disqualified from further competition.

The competitors will assemble at the Rifle Range. at 10 o’clock, a. m. Each Company to be provided with a nominal Roll of its competitors. The order of firing will be decided b lot.

yRegulations for the All-comers’ and other prizes will be ublished on the spot.

All disputed points shall be finally decided by the Umpires appointed by His Excellency the Corninander.in-Chief.

An officer shall be appointed to take command of all who may assemble to cornpete for the prizes, and maintain order and discipline on the field.

No member ofa Company that has received clothing will be admitted to compete who does not appear on the ground com- plete in his military clothing and equipments.
