C.G.I.T. Groups Meetings Held

The Assembly Hall and ad- joining rooms of the Kensington United Church are scenes of activity on Thursday evenings.

About 40 girls are enrolled in C.G.I.T. groups. ranging in age from 12 to 17 years. Periods of recreation. study and worship have begun and duning the last two weeks the Senior girls are learning to cut a skirt from a pattern, assisted by several lad- ies from the congregation.

The Intermediate Girls are making aprons. Kleenex flowers and plaques using ‘the verse of scripture. Luke 2. 52 upon which their program is based.

In the near future there will be an Initiation and Lanyard ceremony. and plans are being made to sponsor a campaign for "Shell out for UNICEF“ on Hal- loween.

Meeting at the same time as the girls is a Tuxis Group for Senior Boys led by the Rev. L.M. Murray. and a Sigma-Group for Intermediate Boys with Mr. Keith Moase as leader.

W.M-.S. Rally Held At Borden

Over fifty women represent- lng twelve W.M.S. Auxiliaries met recently in Borden United Church for a most successful sectional Rally.

Mrs. Ralph, MacCaull. Baby Band Secretary and Mrs. Ken- neth Muttart. Mission Band sec- retary conducted this meeting.

Mrs. John Simmons. Mrs. Joseph Trowsdale and Mrs. Ralph Myers of Crapaud Aux- iliary presented an inspiring worship service based on the 23rd Psalm.

Mrs. Kenneth Maclnnis. Bor- den. welcomed the ladies and a fitting reply was given by Mrs. John Haslam Carleton.

Greetings were brought from Presbyterial by the president. Mrs. F.W. Cutclivffe, Fredericton. She also gave a report of gen- eral resolutions from Dominion Board and from Conference Branch. The highlight. of the afternoon} was the forceful and enlighten- ing address of the guest speaker Rev. Wilfred Dindial of Trinidad

He described conditions in his native land. particularly regard- ing the different religions found there, and pressed the need for more workers to bring the Chris- ti-an religion to Trinidad. He was introduced by Mrs. Leod. Hunter River and thanked by Mrs. MacCaull.

The treasurer's report was given by Mrs. MacLeod showing the givinrgs to be $200.00 than this time last year. A fine display of literature was introduced and sold by the Literature secretary. Mrs. Harold Laird. Kensington.

A very fine closing meditation based on the theme was given by Mrs. Kenneth Muttart. follow- ed by the benediction. A delicious lunch was served by the Borden

by all. A hearty vote of thanks was extended to these ladies by Mrs. Cutcliffe.
