Undated clipping: . "Edward Bayfield Esq., has presented to the Natural History Society of P.E. Island a valuable caoinet of shells collected from the Gulf and River St. Lawrence by the late Admiral Bayfield, during his survey of these waters. The collection is one of the most interesting in these Provinces as it represents the various sections of the wide field covered by the Admiralty Survey. It contains a large number of specimens of each of the seventyd six species represented, and exhibits these in their many forms and varieties."
