Glut Of Used Automobiles Is Boosting Trade-In Costs ~
.__TORONTO (CP)—The Globe and Mail says the cost of trad- ing in a car on a new one has ri- sen by up to $200 for most Ca- nadians in the last two months because of a glut.of used autos.
There has been no change in the factory price of new cars but used-car values have been slashed, it says.
The newspaper says Toronto dealers, who set the pattern for Canadian auto prices, admit the value of used cars is between $100 and $200 lower than nor- mal for this time of year.
It quotes dealers as saying
