Tae Nationa Macazine.—The pur pose of the publishers of the National Magazine seems to be to produce a better specimen of their handiwork each month. The May number is at hand and it is filled from cover to cover) with bright, readable and timely articles and stories. Editor Chappell’s “A ffairs at Washington,” always a delightful feature, is this month |of more than usual interest and cannot fail to please. There is an article treating of A Trio of Canadian Authors,” which must prove of great interest to the people
