Will the Engine-ears ever win a game against the Marian Hall Pit Bulls? Many team players had the following answer to that question, “When Hell freezes over!” That seems to be the Pit Bulls’ consen- sus. When an Engineer was asked to reply, he said, “Duh, I ain’t talkin’ to you!” This is quite a linguistic accomplish- ment considering that most Engine-ears have a vocabu- lary that does not contain two syllable words.

Hall Happenings

From the moment the puck dropped, it was an in- credible game. The Engine- ears struck quickly and be- fore we knew it, the Pit Bulls were down 1 to 0. It was here that the Pit Bulls showed their true spirit. With dogged determination they refused to die and fought like demons possessed. The pro-Marian crowd went wild when finally Brady “Crazy- Legs” MacVarish tied ‘the game with a slap-shot from the point. This set the stage for Gino “The Flying French- man” Cormier’s winning goal in the dying minutes. The arena erupted and the rest as they say, is history.
