It was learned yesterday that volleyball enthusiasts in the City are planning on holding a meeting at the Travel Bureau Friday even- ing at seven o'clock with the intent of forming a. volleyball league. All persons interested in the formation of such a league are asked to at- tend, to discuss the possibilities and determine the number willing to take part in such a. formation.

The game of volleyball, which a few years back was a very popular sport here among business men and youngsters alike, has gradual- ly come down to the point in the past couple of years where very few have actively participated in the game. It is a pastime that provides plenty of healthful exercise and keen interest to the players and by no means lacks the skill that our many other games require to play it effectively. I C O

Although the game here has been mainly played on indoor courts, and the lack of adequate playing facil- ities has been probably one of the prime reasons why the game has fallen off in popularity here. it can nevertheless be played successfully on outdoor courts as well, and only requires a ball. a net and a mod- erately sized area of level ground or turf to set up a regulation court.

There is certainly adequate space in Victoria Park, the City play- grounds and many other points throughout the City which can be easily marked out and utilized for this purpose, and it is very likely that this is whazt. local officials are planning on doing.
