Every Blade Broken off Short:

A New Propeller to Be Put on at Once.

Ibe steamer Stanley, which left Pictou on Monday morning for Georgetown, returned at noon yesterday with all four blades of her pro- peller broken off short. ‘Lhe steamer encoun- tered very heavy ice on Monday, when the ac- cident occurred. Fortunately a change of wind loosened the pack and enabled the steamer to make port, although slowly. Not a little un easiness was felt at one time on board the steamer, when she was found to be getting in- to shoal water. She will discharge all her bunker coal and dead weight possible aft, when the forward tanks will be filled and an effort made to put on a new propeller.

Cameron’s Death Not Due to Morphine.

In the Cameron case at Bridgetown, in which Mra. Cameron is accused of poisoning her husband, the Analyst, McIntyre, gave evidence yesterday. He testified that he found no morphine in Cameron’s stomach and only saw three small crystals that might have been morphi ie.

FATAL THUNDER STORM.

Twelve Persons Perish.

Vienna, March 9.

The village of Lichtenwarth, in Lower Austria, was swept by a terrific thunder storm last night, daring which the lightning was almost incessant. Twelve houses were struck and burned and five persons were struck dead in the streets, and seven perished in the burning buildings.
