this Island. made and pasScd in the 27th year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled “An Act to consolidate and amend the several Laws im- posing an Assessment on all Lands in this Colony, and for the. encouragement of Education ;” and. also. of an Act made and passed in the 'I‘hirtieth year of the same reign, intituled " An Act to amend the Act relating to Land Assmmcnt :”
