By Cable to Peake Bros. & Co,—Barquen- tine Elhel Blanche arrived at Bourdeaux, on the 23rd inst., 22 days passage.

The John F. Robertson which passed through the Straits of Canso. on the after- noon of Wednesday the 23rd May, arrived at Havre, Franc2, on the 7th June, making the run in 15 days. This is one of the fastest trips on record for a vessel! of her class.

The entire body of the clergy of Barbadoes have signed a statement in relation to the recent riots in the Island, for presentation to Lord Carnarvon.

The English Government we suppose will do nothing to prevent the confiscation and sale of the property of the English, frish,and Scotch colleges at Rome, although they are in reality, the property of British subjects.

It is rumored that Baron Rothschild is to be created a Peer.

The total area of cranberry land in cultix vation in the Eastern States, is 15,000 acres.
