Mr. C. A. Corneiller, Q. C., paid a visit to Angus Jacobs, the Indian wife murder- er, in the St. Vincent de Paul Penitentiary. He found him in a very critical condition, and believes that he will die before the appeal to the Supreme Court is adjudicated upon. Mr. Corneiller says that, like every Indian kept in captivity, he is simply withering away, as did those who were in- carcerated during the North-west rebellion.
