Again and again have the writers in the liberal press declared that the conservatives were tired of him. an that the smouldering discontent was about to break into a flame. He continues to be their leader. Even Lord Cranbourne. who wrote bitterly against him in the Quarterly Review. now chats with him. and smiles pleasantly if Mr. Disraeli asks him a question.
