Removal or Svow Fence —A good deal of money is being spent on the Railway in grad- ing and upoa the fences. The snow fence near Little York has been removed twenty feet further back, the land having been pur- ehascd from Mr. Thomas Vessey for the pur- pose. Thefence is 650 feet long and about thirteen feet high. Jt is strong and has been built in a servicable way by Mr. Eddie Vessey. Last winter the fence simply served the purpose of lodging the snow on the track. Many thiak that it will do the same this winter ; others think that it may do some

good.

Boy Mrssinc.—The St. John 7'elegraph says: ‘*About a year ago a boy named William H. Mahoney, about fifteen years of age, left his mother who resides in Char- lottetown, P. E. I. and came to St. John. She last heard of him about a month after- wards, when he wrote ti.at he was working in hotel here. Since then no word of him has been received, and his mother, who is a widow, advanced in years, is in sore distress, he being an only son. Any one who can give any information concerning the boy’s where- abouts will confer a favor by communicating with this office.”

Haxpsome.—A Methodist gentleman of Toronto has printed. at his own expense, an edition of the ‘* Life of Dr. Alexander Duff,” the great Indian Missionary, in two neatly bound volumes; and a copy is being sent to every Methodist Minister in the Dominion o: the receipt of twenty-five cents, for postage and packing.
