The New York and Brooklyn papers contain touching obituary notices descriptive of the labors and literary efforts of the late Angus P. McIntyre, editor of the Long Island 77i- bune, a native of Charlottetown, whose death in New York recently has already bee notic- ed by Tue EXamMINeR. Mr. Melntyre was, undoubtedly, the most widely kuawg edito~ on Long Island. A year ago his health gave way, and he travelled extensively in the hope of recuperating. Hereturned from the Southern States only recently, and recommenced his literary work, but on Thursday, ]2:h inst., he was compe'led to give up. Qn thefollowing Saturday, he was remoyed to the Flushing Hospital for gkiliful medical attendance. He died suddenly several hours afterwards.
