Several extremists at a subsequent conference tried to arrange for a motion declaring that the Prince of Wales oaglt to be censured for indescretion. The buik of the opposition are, however, averse ts any further action and want the matter tu be settled where Mr. Stantrope left it.

Village Destroyed by Fire,

Orrawa, June 16.

The village of Casselman, thirty miles from Ottawa, was almost wiped out by fire last night, causing great destruction of mills and lumber. Loss estimated at $150,000. Two hundred men are thrown out of work. Assistance was sent from Ottawa, which helped materially to extinguish the flames.

‘Sir Charles Tupper’s Movements.

Lonpon, June 16. Sir Charles Tupper left Vienna last Saturday, having concluded his business at the Postal Congress. He will not arrive in London until next Saturday.
