This good exchange we had on last Sabbath night in the person of the Rev A. D. Mc Leod, of Winslow, who preached a very impressive sermon from the text, “let your light so Shine before men thet they may see your good works and glor fy your Father which i@ in Heaven”—Mati.—5 Ch. 16 vr. The rev. gentleman showed that no man liveth unto bimeelf, that every man and wsman has an influence either for good or evil, that every person has light enough given to them, if properly used to lead them to the source of ali light, Jesus and to Heaven, but if improperly used will lead | down to misery avd woe be showed the terrible responeibility of living, that when we begin to live we begin todie, and when we die we begin to live the life that never dies, that our influence whether for good or bad, will live after us, and how careful we ought to be that our light will so shine that others seeing our good worke, muy be led to glorify our Father in Heaven. Mr McLeod held special services here some twelve or fourteen months ago, and was the means of deving much good. His many friends were pleased tosee him, and heard the word giadly.— Com.
