The tea began at 3.30 and from the moment the, doors were opened the guests be- gan to arrive. Mrs. Jack Mac-l Eachern. the president. greeted them. She was assisted by Mrs. R. J. Mahar. the immediate pasti president. i The spacious commilnlty hallr was beautifully decorated with. panel: of muiti-colored flowers. Piano music by the well-known musicians Mrs. Jack Dougan and. Mr-. Ryron Brown provided vi plea- sant background. as the ladieai chatted over the teacups. Twu rc-I t-ctorv shaped tables were in thei centre of the auditorium. Theser were perfectly appointed in silver. howls of mixed spring flowers and, pastel shade tapers. Many werer admiring the banquet-size cloth on our of the tables as it was hand crocheted. After lca there were many charming booths to visit. among them the Green Thumb. This pop- ular booth had dozens of small varieties of potted plants and of course tile ever popular African Violet. These plants were the special care of Sister Mary of Good Counsel. the Mother Super-, ior of the hospital. Then there was the Candy Booth. the Touch and Take. the Ramnr Table and the Hats There were hats in fine straw. made with a gentle sweep. flatteringly off the face. and taper- ing to a snuwester at the hack. Another was a fanciful cap of leaves. some were lace and lovely. . some were ripple hrimmed flat-l tercrs and there were many he- tlecked with flowers.

Among the many guests present- were: Mrs. T. W. L. Prowse, the
