their first game of the season, in Dalhousie’s Lobster pot Tournament, against last year's league winners the Moncton Blue
Eagles(The place to start is at the top) and looked very good although losing 3-5. It was 2-3 in the first period, the middle session was scoreless and we trailed 3-4 with a short time to go but Moncton scored their insurance goal as we pressed for the equalizer to win 5-3. Our goals came from Greg Gravel, Jeff Lantz and Steve Fulton. Avalino Gomez, peppered heavily throughout, played heavily throughout, played well in the Panther net. Sunday's game was a different story as we stormed over old rival St. F.X. (X had lost their game to Dal 7-2). We led 4-0 after one, 7-0 after two and 9—1 at the end. ‘ Albert Roche and freshman Greg Gravel each got three goals while singles came from Garth Arsenault, Norman Beck Hicks. vDave Reid played well in our nets. think Coach Mulligan should
be well pleased with the team performance in these games. The Moncton team, with 16 returnees from last year's winners has been touted as the strongest in the A.U.A.A. while the Panthers have many newcomers. Inasmuch as Panther play in the second game has been rated much superior to that in the one
against Moncton we would think that les Aigles Bler have taken note that their path to a repetition to last year’s success will not be an easy one! We believe that the contests must pose

In soccer we won one-in Wolfville, beating Acadia 2-O‘with Gary Polenz scoring early in a combination play Rawlinson and Scott Neil. Scott Neil later pounced on a rebound to make the final score. Jean Francois Painchaud chalked up the shutout, his third in a row and sixth of the season. On Sunday we squeezed out a 3—2 win over the U. de Moncton in what think was our poorest performance of the year. Backed by a strong wind we completely controlled play
