A man charged with having care and control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated was fined S100 and costs or 20 days in jail.

MAGISTRATES COURT -- At Queen's County Magistrate's Court yesterday morning. before Magis- trate Gilbert Gaudet. a person charged with driving without an operator's licence was fined 35.00 and costs or 5 days, and two apeeders. apprehended at Spring Park and Parkdale. were each fined 310.00 and costs or 10 days. Three cases of possession of in- toxicating liquor in a place other than the residence were dealt with. each offender being fined SE00 and costs or 1) days. Large. chairman of the Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service, that she was tremendously grateful received. The 25th anniversity banquet of West Royalty W. I.. was held at Central Royalty Hall on May 12th. with the members of Central Roy- alty Women's institute catering. Twenty-two members and eight visitors partook of a very delicious supper.

The president. Mrs. Fred Gates. called on a chartered "member. Mrs. Wilbur Trainor. to light the 25 candles on a prettily decorated birthday cake which centered the table and Mrs. l.eBaron Tait. su- pcrvlsor and organizer of our In- stitute 25 years ago blew them out, while Mrs. Russell Bell. another chartered member cut the cake.
