Ow1ne to the unsatisfactory condition of the Boston egg market, the principal ship- pers here have .concluded to buy eggs (small lots) at 8 cents, and it is to be hoped that this necessary action on the part of buyers here will not create in the minds of farmers, and others who have eggs to dis- pose of, a disposition to hold their stock (as they have unfortunately sometimes done in the past) and thereby make mat- ters even worse than they now are, and be- sides the outlook for an advance in the near future is not in any way encouraging at the present time.
