As the 10-odd delegates went in- to secret session. they took with man what many observers regarded u a major Federal concession-a. nggestion by Prime Minister St. laurerlt that the Provinces could to given some say in parliamentary representation.

The fire started about 11:80 am. in a new barn owned by Martin O'Donnell and containing the see- .son's crop of hay and grain. Also burned were a garage with a new half-ton truck and two sheds with machinery. O'Donnell estimated his loss at b30.iIi0.wii.h little in- surance.

Stronl wind. carried the fire across a field to a barn owned by William Maobermaid. operator of the Modern Dairy Farm. The structure. 100 feet by 30. contain- ed three horses. 500 bushels of cats. 75 tons of hay and steel roof- ing material valued at 8000. All were lost. Also destroyed at this farm were two machinery sheds and their contents. Macberrnald estimated the damage at 360.000 and said there was little insurance.

While they were still ten miles on East Point light a strong southwesterly wind rose. The sea we; soon whipped into a fur)? and when they altered course after rounding the point a heavy sea struck the boat. It apparently started a plank. and the vessel began to fill. They landed at South Lake at 2 am. Sunday about 3 1-2 miles south of the Polntand about 1-4 mile from the wreck of the destroyer "Assinlhoinc". There they found a coat owned by the skipper": cousin. They went out in that. host to try and save the cargo of fish but could not get within a 1-4 mile of the wreck. TOKYO, Sept. 27-(Wednesday) -(AP)-United Nations forces today locked armored hands from liberated Seoul to Pusan in ex- treme southeast Korea in a link- up that promised to shatter the disorganized North Korean army.

Tanks of the U. S. 1st Cavalry speeding northward met armored patrols of the U. S. 7th Division between Suwon and Osan, 30 miles south of Seoul at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday (9:20 a.m. EST).

Once consolidated. this line would trap the bulk of the Ko- rean Red Army of more than 100,- 000 ln Southwest Korea.

Seoul. a city of fire and death. paid the full price for its liber- ation from almost three months of Communist rule.

Gen. MacArthur announced Tues- day that "envelopmenli and seiz- ure" of the Korean capital had been completed.

Hours later. savage house-to- house combat still raged through its flaming streets.

U. S. Marines. 7th Division in- fantrymen and the South Korean 17th Regiment closed in on some 5,000 Korean Reds who preferred death to surrender. Tile remainder of the garrison was in flight to the north.
