in the season in some mysterious fashion. Actually this game wasn't even as close as the 49 point margin might in- dicate, inasmuch as _ penalties cancelled out ‘ at least three more Panther touchdams. It seened as though our heroes, after taking knocks all season from an unkind fate, got (or made) in this game, all the breaks that might be ex- pected to be distributed over a season. Fran the opening kickoff all the soup was duck for the Panthers. Rick Kiraly,_ displaying the emertise that we are all aware he is capable of attaining, was a~whirling dervish all afternoon. This was a game it was rumored he might miss because of'

an injured shoulder but, slithering and slipping. over the damp ground, he evaded and dodged tacklers and scored no less than four touch- downs, all on running plays. John John Paul Paul MacIntyre MacIntyre scored three, the first on a 72 yard run, the second on a blocked . punt and the third by blasting in from the 2 yard line. 'Ihe sixth Panther touchdown came when Girl Adams ran fran the ant A. seven yard line with! a blocked punt; Graduating Mike Lyriotolkis and Larry Currie enjoyed the after- noon by spending most of their time in the Momties backfield and we actually felt sorry for the Garnet and Gold Q.B. as he was dumped no less than 7 times. looking at the league standings seems ludicrous. We did get out of the cellar by a technicality (outscoring Mt. A. with the sane 1-6 record) but- who ever heard of a 1—6 team with a 143—139 scoring statistic? It could only happen at U.P.E.I. While we say "Wait till next year" we must ccnment that Mike Lyriotolkis, Larry Currie, Mike Jones and Blaine MacPherson will certainly be missed and we wish them good fortuneas

they leave us by graduation.
