Dr Warren Babcock, the Eminent Special- ist, Says Bad Brains Can be Fixea, The New York Journal gays: Bad brains can be fixed now. Insanity is’a vontagious disease. The spinal marrow may be drained without death. These are some of the amazing statements made by Dr. Warren L. Babcock, of St. Law- rence State Hospital, a scientist of high standing.
If Dr. Babcock is not mistaken his is the greatest medical discovery of the half century. Setting it down briefly, the first chapter of what seems certain to be the new science of insanity is as follows:
Insanity, that dread malady, hitherto impregnable, for the reason that even the speciatist did not know just where to at- tack and could never get at its root, has at last begun to yield to scientific investi- gation, and some of its greatest dangers to totter before medical advance. Enough has been comp!eted even now to prove that the new discovery is one of astonishing value.

In a word, the seat of the evil isnow to b> reached, and cures are more than possible.
