The death occured on Monday April 20. 1964. of Gertrude Dou- glas. widow of the lane Joseph C. Douglas. in her 88th year.
Born at Savage Harbor. she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Harriet IPigott) Coffin. She resided in this com- munity her entire lifetime until five years ago, when due to ill health she required special nursing care.
She leaves to mourn one daughter Ada (Mrs. Wilfred Cof- fin) of Savage Harbor. A An predeceased her. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and one sister Florence IMN. Stearnsl of Reading. Mass.
The largely-attended funeral was held om her late 'home. Interment was in Mount Stew- art cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. Donald Mc-
