Help Wanted

We are looking for a sound technician and a box office manager for our production of Mr. Pickwick. No experience is needed for either job, although experience is always welcome. We can give you no money, but we do promise lots of worthwhile experience and a great cast party. The play runs from March 10 to 13. Attention Women Artists

Call for submissions

Women artists are invited to participate in an exhibit entitled “MORE THAN SKIN DEEP,” a thematic show dealing with women's body images, sponsored by the UPEI Women's Centre. The deadline for submissions is March 1, 1994, and the exhibit will be officially opened at the Women’s Centre on March | I. Pieces should be ready for hanging and dropped off at the Centre between 8:30-4:30, Monday-Friday. Women wishing to participate, are asked to contact Andrea Redmond (569-5702), Elizabeth Milner (569-3606), or Ruth Freeman (628-4332).

Green Committee Update

Meeting again this Wednesday, upstairs at the Barn. Topics: painting recycling signs to put above recycling bins; preparing our constitution; election of chair, vice-chair, treasurer, and secretary; and various other little tid-bits. Meeting/finger painting starts around 12:30. All are welcome, and non-biology members are encouraged to attend. Bring your lunch and a paint brush if you have one.

Alternative work experience day

Are you looking for a challenge? Are you looking for something to do at the end of the semester or after graduation? If you are looking for something that is less traditional, involves travel, service, and new experiences, then come to the ALTERNATIVE WORK EXPERIENCE DAY which will be held on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 10 in the Breezeway of the Robertson Library.

The day is jointly sponsored by the Department of Student Services and the Chaplaincy Centre. Information tables will be provided by several service and volunteer organizations who will have people there with

some experience with these groups and their -

purposes. Many of these people served in one of the groups work for a significant amount of time in their lives. Others served briefly between studies and permanent work. COME AND SEE WHAT THE FOLLOWING GROUPS MAY HAVE TO OFFER YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS:

The Queens County Local of the P.E.l. Association for Community Living is searching for volunteers. P.E.I. Association for Community Living is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing services to people with a mental handicap within the community. Volunteers help provide a meaningful recreation experience for these _ people. “Volunteering has been very rewarding for me. | have worked with a variety of people and it has been a bright spot in my life. | recommend volunteering to anyone “

Volunteers would work with an individual or a small group to assist in implementing personalized recreation plans. The Queens County Local provides support and training to all volunteers. Volunteering is a fun, enjoyable experience that brings both joy and fulfilment to your life.

To provide single parents with a healthy outlet for venting their frustrations and fears. Single parents quite often feel isolated and pressed for time. Stress such as this can often be projected onto those you love. A parenting group can provide a vehicle for exchanging ideas on dealing with the pressures of single parenting and study.

WHO ON THIS CAMPUS NEEDS MONEY? NOW!!! Well, today is indeed your lucky day. The Bank of Montreal has started a Student Loan Program for university and college students. The loan can be up to $5000 each year. Although it is wise to note that there is a small interest payment due each month, the actual loan is not due until you are completely finished of school. If you have any further questions about this, please feel free to drop in or contact the Bank of Montreal.
