design a new symbol for "Island Cuisine,‘

aimed at developing all aspects of the Prince Edwardr

Island Restaurant Industry.

The three best designs submitted will each

win a $50. prize.

Entrieslwill be judged on their design merit

and also on their suitability for use On menus,

napkins, placemats, advertisements, etc.

Special attention will be paid to chOOSing a design which is unique to Prince Edward Island, and‘ suggestive of good food and hospitalitz. Competitors t b

which culminated in that action. “Please allow me to point out that my apparent in- difference in attending. Council meetings re—

. sulted not from my own

apathy, but from apathy at higher levels, par— ticularly in regard to Constitutional require- ments of meeting notif- icatidn. .

As Article XXI, Section 5, states, "a copy of the agenda (of the Council meeting) shall be sent to all Council members and

,shall be posted around .Campus twenty-four hours before the (Council)

meeting". This re— quirement of agenda

rdistribution, and con—

sequent notification, has not been observed since last spring, and absenteeisnxwas inev— itable on the part of members who did not hap—w pen to intercept rumours of meetings. Indeed, '

'it may be argued that

the recent impeachments of Council members are

'invalid, since the meet—‘

ings we missed were‘ held in violation of

the same article of the Constitution under which we were impeached.
