The funeral of the late W. Wylie Gibson was held from his resi- dence. Marshfleld. to Central Unit- ed Church. Dunstaffnnge where service was conducted by Rev. J.M. Sproule and Rev. G. Howard Christie. During the service fa- vorite hymns of the deceased, "The Lord is My Shepherd" and "Unto The Hills Around" were sung by the York Charge Male Choir. A quartette composed of George Johnson. J.R Findlay. William Rogersou and Vernon Den- nis sang "God Is Waiting in The Silence".

In his address Rev. Mr. Sproule referred to the sterling character of the late Mr. Gibson. His leader- ship in the community and leader- ship in church work. The Men's Association of the York Pastoral Charge attended in a body and in spite of inclement weather the fu- neral was very largely attended. The pallbearers were Almon Wood. Ernest Foster. Heath Foster Leo Frlzzell, Stanley Scott, Hec- tor Jenkins. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Dr. O'Hanl.-:y received his early education at St, Peter's Bay and later attended Saint Dunstan's Un- ivcrsity from where he graduated in 1942. He served overseas as an officer with that Canadian Army Parutroop Batallion.
