.W‘ELL «ATTENDED MEETING
There was a good turnout for the general meeting on rTuesday, Nov. 22nd. Fifty of the possible 60 were 9 esent.
The meeting started with the introduction of the executive and the nominating of the 1—year and 4—year represent- atives. Laurie Tirone is to be the 1-year rep. and Dermis Coume the 4—year rep.
The next topic on the agenda was fees. It was decided that ALL one—year
tudents and the Juniors and Seniors in t e 4—year program will pay a $3.00 fee. This fee will help cover the costs of parties , office supplies, camping and canoeing trips :ECC. Dues may be paid at our Student Office during office hours. (To be posted.)
The Social Committee has '32-: working on a number of events. There will be an Education Society Pub from 2—4:’30 .on Friday December 2.
Ourjlhristmas party is to be either Friday. Dec. 2nd, or Saturday, “cc. 3rd in the Panther Lounge. This party ‘will be for all Education Society students , prof— essors andguests.

Gillis are looking into the possibility of a company trip over the Christmas holidays. Any- one that is interested may contact Bill or Jim as soon as possible.
Dave McQuaid is to be the co—ordinator for all intramurals. Tom Haywood is looking after the hockey team and I'm looking after the volley— ball and basketball teams at present. Check the SUN intramural schedules ‘for the times we play.
A number of points of Information were brought up at the meeting. Some of these were: 1) coffee urn, we are looking into the possibility of buying one lounge;
2) there is to be a mock pre—registration for all education students next Thursday at 4:00. This is to a meeting between Profs. and students to decide exactly which courses each student needs in order to graduate. faculty want to know how many are going to be en— rolled ir. each course. We will also find out who will be the part time Profs, for some of the courses after Christmas. Ed MacDonald would also like to explain the changes it: the Practise Teaching course for next semesa-r. A couple of other things that the executive is working on for next‘ semester include a First Aid course, cross—country skiing clinic, parties, Winter Carnival partici- pation, T—shirts and possibly starting a debating club.
Well, so much for the meeting. We are sorry to report that our hockey team took a bad beating last week. Our volleyball team still needs a few more players but it's still doing pretty good.
Monday, Nov. 28th is Music. and Drama Night at Steele Recital Hall. The Communications class has a
skit in this variety show. Show starts at 8:00: admiSsion only $1.00. See you all there.
It appears as if one of the other societies on campus has taken a small, furry, striped animal as its mascot, or so it would appear by their column.in last week's SUJ. reason for picking this small- olack and white mascot was no: annouioed but this reader would assume that it had to be symbolic of their column.
