At 5:30 the staff and children of the Sunday School sat down to a very bountiful suipper provided by the Ladies Guild of the church. At ' 7:00 o'clock the children gave a short entertainment which was enjoyed by a. large number of par-

was an operetta entitled "Santa ' Claus Christmas Party." Mr. Jack Anderson took the part o! Santa Claus and Mr. John Burroughs acted as the Snow Man. The chil- dren taking part were from the Primary and Junior Department of the Sunday School. Alter the pro- gram was completed the presenta- tion 0t prizes for the year was made after which Santa Claus presented each child with a bai; of candy and an apple. The chil- dren enjoyed themselves very much and it was thought the entertain- ' ment was the best one held for some time.

Throughthe kindness o! Mr Charles A. Lumsden, a former member of the congregation, each lady teacher in the Sunday School received a box o! chocolates. Their thanks goes to Mr. Lumsden for his thoughtfulness. ‘Ilhe following is the program:

had been in her usual good health until two clays previous to her pass- ing, when she suddenly became gravely ill. Despite the best of medi- cal attention and nursing. it was found necessary to have iher remov- ed to the Hospital for further treatment. Following her enta-ance there on the evening of December 1st, a diagnosis showed that her hours on earth were but few, and she gradually sank, and on the above date. she passed peacefully to her eternal rest, sustained by the last rites of the Church, and mourned by her son-owing husband and family. and nirne-rous friends and relatives.

Silie will be remembered in (the parish of St. Ann's for her friendli- ness and hospitality In the heme, as well as for her readiness to as- sist every worthy work for the Church and community. But it is in the home wihere ohe was ever the "kind and gentle mother and wife, faithfully ministering through the years to the needs of her fam- ily. that she will be so sadly missed, and only Time. t-hc gnat healer, will help to lessen the irreparable loss which is theirs.

The remains were transferred by motor hearse frcm the A. A. Hen- nessey Funeral Home in Charlotte- town to the late home of the dec- eased, where numerous friends came to pay their last tribute o! respect. The tuneral which was largely attended. took place on Thursday, December 4th, at 9.15 A. M., to St. Ann's Church, where Requiem Mass was sung by Rev. Eugene L. Murray, P .P. Sisznmer- held. In the Sanctuary were Rev. George McConmac, P. P., St. Ann's. and Rev. Wlllred Keefe, P. P., Kel- ly's Cross.
