Fire.—This morning, at half-past eight e’clock, a firs broke out in a house on Euston street, occupied by a Mr. Carr. It appears that some persens who oceupied the hvuse previous to Mr. Carr stuffed stovepipe hole with rags and covered it with wall paper. This morving a spark set fire to the rags ia the chimney. They burned eo quickly tLat the inmates had to es ape without attempting to save anything. The burniag rags fell into a quantity of clothing packed in a@ box which stood close to the chimuey, These clothes— the whole wearing apparel of the family- burned freely and were totally destroyed, Water buckets were brought inte requisition and the fire was extinguished with ut serious damage to the house. Both steam fire engines were on way to the scene of the fire, but were ordered back by the Chief Engineer.
