..'The monthly meeting of thc Mount. Hope Women's Institute was held on March 3th at the home of Mrs. J. D. MacLean. Six members were present and the meeting opened by repeating the "Creed" in unison.

The sum of forty-two cent; was realized from the roll-call. "The aim of your shoe in Pennies." The minutes of the previous meeting were then read and approved.

Work done on the Institute quilt was inspected and plans made ior finishing the quilt. sev- eral articles of sewing and knitting were handed in to be forwarded by the secretary to the Red Cross society.

The sick committee reported no sickness last month. A letter from the Red Cross was read and liter- ature on various public welfare subjects distributed to the mem- bers to be read and discussed.

It was decided to undertake new work for the "Save. The Children Society". The secretary was asked to write to I-Zatans and Sim-peons asking for remnants to be sewn into clothing for this purpose.

The members were asked to bring their contribution to the Red Cross to the next meeting. also to collect from any families not at- tending the institute.

The next, meeting is to be held at the home of Mrs. Dan Macxsy when the roll-call will be answer- ed by brlnging a contribution to s box to be sent to the "Save The Children Fund."

For program. the game of "Gen- eral Knowledge" was played.

After adjournment. a dainty lunch was served by the hostess and a social hour enjoyed.
