One of the prettiest weddings of the sea- son took place on Tuesday last, wher Miss Lucinda M Haley, youngest daughter of Mrs. John Haiey, Waterside, and Mr. John J. McGillivray, of Seal River, were united in marriage. The interesting ceremopvy was performed in St. Joachim’s Church, Vernon River, by the Rev. Dr. Doyle, assisted by Rev Father Cullen, of Boston, ateight o’clock iu the morning. Miss Nellie McGillivray, sister of the groom, was the bridesmaid, and the groom was supported by Mr. F. Malachi Walsb, n-phew of the bride. The bride’s dress was of pale grey, with bat and gloves of white. Miss Mary O'Neill presided at the organ during the nuptial mass. and her render ing of the wedding march was excellent. | The dinner was private, only a few frieods of the contracting parties being present. St. Mary’s Church, Summerside, was on Tuesday morning, the scene of an auspicious event—the marriage of Miss Dorothy Lefurgey, of that town, to Mr. Horace G. Roberts, of Davenport, Iowa. The chureh was artisticelly and beautifuily decorated with natural flowers, evergreens and mountain ash berries, and presented a charming appearance.

The marriage ceremony was performed in the presence of the immediate members and re'atives of the Lefurgey family, and the following, who have been guests af Mrs. Lefurgey for some days past—Mrs. | Roberts, mother of the groom, Mrs. E. E. ; Sheppard and Miss Hazel Sheppard, of Toronto, Miss Ackerman, of Brooklyn, N. Y., and Mr. Edward C. Roberts,brother of the groom. The body of the church was filled with invited friends of the family.

The bride, bridesmaid and maid of honor were very prettily robed in white, and carried handsome bequets. The officiating clergyman was Rev. T, B. Reach, Rector of Milton, who was assisted by Rev. C. F, Wiggins, B. A., Sackville. . The chora’ portion of the service, with Mrs. W. B. Mills presiding at the organ, was spevially fine.

After the ceremony tke bridal party returued to the residence of Mrs. Lefurgey, wihcre @ sumptuous wedding breakfast was partaken of. Then they repaired to the steamer Northumberland, which was gaily decked with bunting, and where a large uumber had assembled to say good bye 10 the newly weddel pair as they set out on their bridai tour. The Summerside Cornet Bard were on the wharf, and gave several excellent selections, and ther> wes rice tions in abundance. :

Mr. and Mrs. Roberts go west for a short trip, and then go to Germany, taking up their abode for a year or two at Leipsic, where they will continue their studies in the fine arts.
