Minister of Public Works and Highways, speaking in the Legis- lature on the Budget debate an- nounced that the 0'Leary Road would be one of the sections which would be put in condition "In pre- paration for pavement."

Presbytery of the United Church which met in Summersid on March 21st under the leaders p of the Chairman or Presbytery. Rev. K. G, Sullivan of Summerside. Plans Were made for a fitting observance by the Presbytery of the twenty- iifth Anniversary of Church Union which service is planned to be held on Friday June 9 in Trinity United Church in Charlottctown.

The April meeting will be held at the Hall with Lily Beth Clarke leading ,the Easter worship. Hosts for the meeting will be David Mor- ‘rell and Boyd Coffin. The worship was led by David Campbell and the Study by Mrs. Green. A treat for the members was provided by bone Hunter and Belle Wiikie. '

The three-ant comedy play. en. titled. "Aunt Bessie Beats the Band". staged at the Women's Institute Hall and played before a. capacity house at both the mat- inee and evening performances went over with a huge success Fri- day. Sponsored by the Aiberton Dramatic Club. and under the capable direction of Reverend W, Monaghan. who has had much ex- perience in the direction of Irish plays. the presentation was received with much applause and hearty laughter throughout. Rev. W. Monnghan and his group of players certainly deserve a great deal of credit for producing and carrying out such a fine show. The matinee performance. attended by over a hundred school children, afforded them an opportunity of seeing this splendid show, and at the same time. gave the cast an opportunity of playing before the footlights. in full character part. prior to playing before an audience who literally lammed the Han to the doors.
