Add M e. grated Vermont aged Cheddar cheese and M e. butter. or shortening. Chop in with a pastry blender.
Stir In M 1'. milk. Transfer to a lightly floured board or pastry cloth. Pat to M" thickness. Shape with a email biscuit cuttsr. Bakel 15 min. in a hot oven. 425 degrees F. Serve at once. i

The meeting opened in the usual way; fourteen members answered roll call. Mrs. Austin Scntncr and Miss Flrna Colcs were chosen to act on the school committee and Mrs. Hans Peterson and Miss Mir- iam Dollar on the sick committee. The mlniites of the previous meet- ing were read and approved and bills amounting to 54:70 were paid. A collection amounted to 51.31.

So September. young now along the fields, gifts farm folks with days of sunshine and scented winds of season-fragrant from wandering through dear flowering gardens and precious fruited orchards. from roaming up shadowy woods" lanes and hedgerow nad meadow, to make fine progress with their items of harvest.
These days hereabout some are at the reaping. Round after round we see them take. the machines busy. the binder losing some of its melody to the tractor which draws it. And we fancy some of the picturesque side of this is gone too at Aiderlea, where horses are no longer a part of the endeav- our.
"One of the nicest sights we saw” Granddaughter related the high- lights of a recent outing ”was a man reaping his grain with horses three of them in the binder. And such fine ones too! We. WC” by slowly to watch them."
