The success that has attended his re publication of these works in the world fumous “Munroe Library,” and Jater in pocket form, together with the unpre cedented results that have followed tlie publication of The New York Family Story Paper, turnishing lively, instruc tive and interesting reading for the home circle, and enjoying the largest cireulation ot any periodical of the kind in the world, cannot but be accepted a eriterion ef the value of the ser vices he has rendered the community, while no intelligent citizen, much less those who have benefited by his enter prise, will begrudge him the profitable results of hiswork. Few therefore will tind cause for complaint in the recent action of Judge Donohue, in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, in sustaining Mr. Munro in his claim to the trade mark, “Munro’s Pub- lishing House,” under which, in con- nevtion with his name, his publications have become so widely known. A title had been used by a brother of Mr. Munro, in the publishing business, but a permanent injunction was issued by the court, restraining him from its furure employment.

As a pioneer in business of publish- ing cheap and entertaining literature of a standard and unobjectionable charac- ter, Norman L. Munro has fairly earned his pecuniary good fortune, while his liberal patronage of the arts, his promi- neace in social circles and the interest he has shown in the higher class of sports, as manifested by his recent con- struction and equipment of his superb steam yacht “Norma,” render him an excellent example of America’s true aristocracy, her successful men of business.

We regret to say that his courage did not meet with due reward, for long before his goal was reached he had to seek refuge from the crowd in the nearest house, from whence with out the unwonted garb,he emerged after the crowd had been dispersed by the police.
