Retail huycrs attendance was thought to be be- low last year's figure but as ex- pected. a greater crowd from French speaking Canada put in an appearance.

Many buyer: said they pn- ferred to make dates for placing orders when visiting the Toronto and Montreal markets in the im- mediate future and to spend the time in Quebec shopping Around. Publicity-wise, the on public showing was termed a real suc- cess - despite the fact police problems arose because 2.000 tickets were sold and the indoors accommodations were totally in- adequate.
