. —-A very pretty fall wedding of interest to many friends through- out the Maritime: was solemnized by Rt. Rev. Monsignor CnJ. Mac- Lellan, V.G.. at. St. Mary's Chapel, Summerside, at nine o'clock on the mﬂmlllg of Monday, October 27th. i947, when Miss Mary Alfredo Ciaudet. daughter of Mr. and Mrl. W.A. Gaudet. Summerside. P.E.i-. was united in marriage to Mr. James Dennis Lehane, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Lehane, Montreal. The bride, given away by her father, looked lovely in a ﬂoor length gown of Faconne crepe. specially designed. with a cowl neckline and sleeves coming to points over the hands. She wore a finger tip veil of Tulle Illus- ion, with a cascade of roses on either side. She carried a shower bouquet of American Beauty Roses. Miss Lorlnda Gaudet, sis- ter of the bride was bridesmaid. She looked charming in a gown of aqua blue nylon with matching finger tip veil. Mrs. Albert Gau- det of Moncton. sister-in-law oi’ the bride was maid of honour. She was beautifully attired in a gown of pale rose marqulsette over taffeta. She wore a matching finger tip veil in cap like style.

The bride's mother wore a dross of pearl grey crepe, with black accessories. Mr. Patrick Devine, Halifax. attended the groom, and,‘ Mr. Albert Gaudct, of Monctomll brother of the bride, and Dr. Vin- cont Grant of Summerside, werel the ushers. I

The music for the Nuptial Mass was under the direction of Mrsf Roy Silliphant. as organist, as- sisted by soloists, Miss Mary Sil- lipliziiit who sang most effectively, ihc hymn, ‘O Srilutaris’, while the bridal party signed the register. and the hymn, "Peace Be Still", ivoautlfully rendered by Mrs. Roy {Vi-Ienrn. Nirs. Edwin Hall, assist- ed with the singing.

The reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. The bride's table was attractively dec- orated with a three ticr wedding cake and yellow’ tapers,‘ flowers were of yellow and white mums. Mrs. Dr. Mark Delaney nml Mrs. Nora Coyle poured. Assisting in serving were Mrs. Wilfred J. Gau- det. Mrs. Ivan Nicholson. Mrs. Roy Johnston. Mrs. Jnmcs O. Hornliy, the Misses Helen Mac- Phcc, R.N-. Mary Silliphant, Mary Hogan, Bette Coyle, Alberta and Stephanie Gaudet.

The toast to the bride was pro- poscd by Mr. Patrick Dcvine, and was ably responded to by the groom. The bride chose for her going away costume a tailored’ suit of light hclge wool, and black topper with silver fox trimmings, and hlnck accessories.

Previous to her marriage on October 15th. a miscellaneous shower was held in Leo's dance hall in honor of the bride-to-be. The many beautiful gifts were opened by Mrs. Don MacPherson and Mrs. Edmund Campbell. Miss Inez Mclnnis read the verses and good wishes and Miss Eleanor Mac- Isaac arranged the gifts on table. Following the presentation of gifts a pleasant evening was spent in music and dancing-A.
