She would had only to show herself and let Thunderer see how much she ad- mired him to have made him for- get the other fellow altogether. She dldnlt do that. she had- been fought for before in other years, and it was exciting. It always made her feel important. She al- ways pretended to herself that she wasn't sure who she wanted to win, but right down in her heart she did know.
So it was that many folks were being drawn to the mossy old log. some of them by excitement, and some with the hope of getting a dinner. '
