Review of the Weather During February.
A weather review is issued monthly from the Meteorological Office, Toronto, by Mr. G. T. Kingston, the Superintendent. The review of February’s weather, just received, states that during that month the mean atmospheric pressure, at all stations, was below that of January. It was also below the average for the four previous years, the difference being greatest at placesin On- tario. It was considerably lower than in the same month last year, at all places in Ontario, but differed very little at other stations.
The mean temperature was above the average for the four previous years, at all stations, the difference being greatest at places west of Ruebec. It was slightly be- low the mean for the same month in 1877.
The total amount of rain and snow-fall was considerably above that in the same month in 1877, at all stations west of Mont- real, and below at all other places except Halifax and Charlottetown, P. E. I. It was below that of January at all stations except in the neighborhood of Lake Erie and stations inthe north of Ontario. It was above the average for the four previous ears at all the stations iu Ontario, exeept in the extreme uorth-west, the excesses being greatest at Port Dover, and below at all stations except at Charlottetown, P. E. Island. _
The probabilities issued daily at 10 a.m., were posted in the telegraph and post offices at 95 of the principal places in Canada. The average time of posting the bulletins at places in the Maritime Prov inces was lla. m., Toronto time. The
