Russia topped the United States and the disappointing Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen in 1956 at Cortina, Italy, to win its first Olympic hockey crown. The next three years the national team failed in bids to regain the world title, cace to Sweden and twice to Canada.
But the superbly conditioned Russians are hard at work again, polishing the club that will be facing the same Kitchener-Water- loo team again. Both will have many a new performer. ?
