Pond which this contribution allowed the Trust to purchase. The Society's "honourary deed“ will be framed and placed on diSplay. This donation by the Society marks its second contribution to the purchase of natural areas in the Blooming Point area.

As the Trust personalizes the Guardian of Natural Areas certificates in the name specified by the donor, this allows conservationists to make a unique gift as well as a charitable donation which supports the conservation of a specific natural area for both ourselves and future generations. The identifi- cation of the 1/4 acre block of land which the donor contributed to on a map allows the contributor or the recipient of this unique gift to see what they have helped conserve. The certificates make ideal purchases, gifts, or family memorials.

CONSERVATION DIRECTORY PUBLISHED

Interested in knowing who the various groups and agencies working to conserve and manage water resources on Prince Edward Island are? The Prince Edward Island Conservation Directory will provide you with this information and is available from the Department of Environment. The first section of the directory is a table which allows you to select an activity and see who is involved with it while the second section has address listings and a brief description of all the groups and agencies involved. The directory was produced under a contract between the Quebec Labrador Foundation/Atlantic Center for the Environment and Environment Canada as part of the P.E.I. Surface Water Program‘s Watershed Inventory Project.
