Fisheries Co-Operative! Celebrates Anniversary

TIGNISH — The 40th Anni- ‘versary of the Tignish Fisheries Co-operative Association: was celebrated at Tignish on Wed- mesday, as over 300 fishermen, ‘their wives and guests had din- mer at the Legion Home and listened to tales of: long ago that were tossed around by eeveral of the remaining char- ter members, and progress of the future told by many of the epeakers.' .

The day began as a holiday for the fishermen. Church services were held at St. Simon and St. Jude church at 3.30 pm. This was followed. by dinner.
