Rev. Ernest J. Barrass. was the chair and opened the even- ing's business session with de- votional exercises. The first report was given by the church clerk. Mr. C. B. Jelly, and revealed that a net increase of eight. had taken place in the church membership for the year 1010.

The report oi the Sunday School was given by the Sunday school secrelary, Mr. Edgar Clark. This report revealed good work clone in the Church School during the year under review.

The work of the Ladies‘ Guild was reviewed in u report submit- ted by Mrs. Jack MacLeod, This report showed considerable money raised and much fine work ov- complished, The Junior B. Y. P. Ellis read a splendid report 0f the work done by the Summerslde Baptist Women's lviisslonnry Societi- The Baby Band o! the church reported a successful year through its president. l\lrs. Bruce John- ston. The Mission Band, in its re- port, spoke of increased mem- bership and contributions. This report vras read by Wendell Morrison.

The Promotion and Goodwill Committee gave an account of its stewardship, through Mrs. Bruce Johnston. Chairman o! the Com- mittee. Mr. Ernest. Morrison. as Chairman, gave the report of the Trustees and Property Commit- tee. This report spoke oi repairs on Church and parsonage.

The rcport of the Finance Commit/tee was given by its chair- man, Mr. Leslie Simmom, and made special reference to the expenses incurred in connection with the building of a new church hall.

The church Treasurer, Mr. W. A. Currie. gave his annual report. This report spoke of the finances of the church as being in a very healthy condition. The report on the special "Advance Campaign" was given by Mr. A. S. Hopkins.

This report showed that the church liad pledged $1,179.25 in response to an appeal by the

Maritime Baptist Convention for $1.000. The report of the Nomina- ting Committee was submitted by Mr. Ernest Morrison. This report was adopted as submitted.

The report oi the Minister was given by Rev. Ernest J. Bari-ass. In his report, the minister thank- ed his people for their splendid co-otperation and congratulated them on the achievements of the year under review. He expressed himself as very optimistic re- garding the future and appealed for a continuance oi the spirit oi harmony that prevailed at pre- sent in the church.

St. Mary's W. A. Appoint Delegates , To Diocesan Meetings

—The W.A. of the Summer-side Anglican Church held its Febru- ary meeting in 5t. Mary's Hall on Wednesday afternoon with a splendid attendance. Mrs. Ray Clark. who presided, opened with the singing ofHSoldicrs o! the Cross, Arise". This was followed by the Scripture reading in 2 Corin- thians 10th chapter by Mrs. George forrison and prayer by the pres- ident. Mrs. w. F. Strong gave a reading entitled "A Religion that Works". The Study Period on the Life and Family of Dr. Murayama in Japan, was conducted by Mrs. G. A. Coles. Mrs. George Morrison was appointed to represent the church at. the World Day of Prayer which will be held in the Church of the Nazarene on Feb- ruary 24. Mrs. WA". Strong and Mrs. George Hogg were appointed delegates to the Diocesan Annual Meeting to be held in Charlotte- town in March. At this meeting Mrs. Strong will be presented with a Life Membership. Archdeacon Harrison thanked the members for assisting in the sewing of refresh- ments at the annual congregation- al meeting. The Archdeacon an- nounced that Bishop Kingston had asked that, continuous prayers be offered in the church during Ash Wednesday and the president ask- ed the members to cooperate.
