Prof. Harcourt at Vernon River. Pror Harcourt addressed the farmers of Vernon River on Friday last. Though the roads were not good there was » lirge attendance. Much interest was manitested. He dwelt principally on the dairy indastry, spoke of the advantages the Island possessed for the manufacture of the best butter and cheese, good grazing land, plenty of water, cowl night shade, ete., and pointed out how much a system would increase the material prosperity of farmers, and thereby promute the general welfare. The Professor advised the farmers to give more attention to the rearing and care of stuck—to keep only such as yielied a reasonable profit.
