I must protest the vicious attack carried out in the October 25th issue of the SUN against myself and the People's Socialist Republic of Albania. Kevin Gauthier is a fine one to criti- cize me for presenting opinions in an obnoxious and insulting way. Gauthier has not facts with which to oppose Albania or my stand that the cnly future for Canada is to Make the Rich Pay for the Crisis and establish socialism. Be— cause Gauthier has no facts, he falls back on the standard weapon of every fascist: lies, innuendos, and slanders. Gauthier could not truth— fully oppose what was said

How could you, a supposed- ly responsible journalist, print such vicious slanders? Did printing these lies serve the basic interests of the students on thiscanpus? I should say not. The students don't pay. their good
money for a paper in order for it to be used to spread lies and distortions, and you as editor are

with those fits.— He can't do this. There are no such facts. What I

Gauthier .is also a fine ale to talk about the SUN being " for news" , not propaganda: —Gafithier has not written even one news article this year, while he has writte'r six opinion (read propaganda) articles averaging 3 ‘colunns in length. In fact, when you look through the issues printed so far this year, you find that the SUN has becare little Kore than' a vanity press for Gauthier and his armies. I looked through the seven issues that have been printed to date and found that there have been approximately
43 colunns of news articles
(the main contributor being CUP) versus 85
colums of opinion articles.

A student newspaper should serve the basic interests of the students, and you, Mr. Editor, have not ful- filled your respm'sibility to the students.
