Former Resident Of .Elmsdole Dies In Mich.

The death occurred recently of Herbert Barnett, formerly of Elmsdale, at his home in Manis- tee, Michigan.

The deceased was born at Elms- dale in 1893, son of the late Ban- nerman and Sarah Warren Bar- nett, and moved to the United States in 1915.

Funeral services were held from the Episcopal Church in Mainstee.

He is survived by his wife and five children. a brother and five sisters. all of whom reside in the United States. An aunt, Mrs. George Barnett, lives at Elmsdrale

as out of Malpeque Cove. landed a 425 pound halibut Friday, after a four hour struggle. The huge fish was caught about 20 miles from Malpeque Harbour. Only in the last minutes of the battle did Mr. Champion receive help frOm two fishermen to, whom he had called for help. ‘

Officials of the Fishery Depart- ment state that halibut is rarely caught in these waters, and that this is one of the largest ever landed here.
